Jay Austin
(CEO & Founder of Austin Physical Therapy and Austin PT Golf & Performance)
Jay Austin, a Huntsville native, brings over 20 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy to Austin Physical Therapy. He’s dedicated to helping patients move better, perform better, and live pain-free using a Not So Traditional approach. This method focuses on identifying and fixing the root cause of pain instead of simply managing symptoms.
Jay’s journey in physical therapy began overseas in Northern Ireland, where he earned his physiotherapy degree and was introduced to progressive rehabilitation techniques that are now becoming popular in the U.S. This experience has shaped his treatment philosophy, which aims to solve problems at their source rather than masking symptoms.

After nearly a decade working alongside local spine surgeons, Jay developed expertise in treating:
• Back & Spine Pain
• Sciatica, Herniated & Bulging Discs
• Failed Back Surgeries
• Hip Dysfunction & Pelvic Asymmetries
In 2010, Jay founded Austin Physical Therapy, where his focus on correcting structural imbalances, retraining movement patterns, and restoring function has helped countless patients achieve long-term relief and improved performance.
What Sets Jay Apart?
At Austin Physical Therapy, Jay and his team reject the symptom-based approach seen in traditional healthcare, opting instead for a holistic strategy that addresses the underlying dysfunctions. This approach helps patients heal for the long term, reducing the need for medications, injections, or surgeries.
